We are a group of current and former professional athletes from various sports, who have come together to create one team so that we can achieve one ultimate dream. This dream is to enhance and forever change the lives of those in the communities which we serve. We have a strong belief that we have the capacity to give back to our communities, whether it's through community development programs or simply fundraising for charities.

We partner with nonprofits throughout northern and central California. Our objective is to enrich our communities and organizations and help them to achieve goals that they have set out for themselves.

What is it?

Real Men Read Initiative is a mentoring program in which former and current professional athletes from Northern California communities commit one hour of their time read to elementary schools.

How does it work?

Our athletes are will be assigned to a participating school and given training on how to interact with the students. The commitment is one hour, every March.

What is the purpose?

This program reinforces three fundamental principles:

Reading is fun.

The community cares.

A commitment to education can ensure success.
